Chinese Experience in Implementing Digital Innovations in the Agricultural Sector

Introduction. China has embarked on a strategy to implement new intelligent systems in the agricultural sector. This strategy envisages a transition to full automation of agriculture, highlighting the importance of studying China's experience in the field of new agricultural technologies. The aim of this article is to examine the practices of this country in relation to new agricultural technologies, in particular satellites, drones and artificial intelligence. Methods. The article adopts a comprehensive approach that includes several research methods: statistical data analysis, graphical methods and comparative analysis. Statistical data was organized using tables and graphs. A systematic analysis method was used to assess the impact of digitalization on the agricultural sector. Comparative analysis was used to compare investment volumes between countries, as well as the level of digital technology penetration in urban and rural areas and the dynamics of agricultural technology development. Results. The research shows that China is among the world leaders in developing and investing in new agri-food technologies, with its digital economy consistently ranking second in the world and progressing rapidly. The digital economy's share has been growing year on year and is currently 41.5%, according to the latest data. China has a wide range of innovative digital solutions that facilitate the penetration of digital innovation into the agricultural sector. Conclusions. The experience of China in implementing digital innovations in the agricultural sector can be effectively utilized by small farming entities in Russia, where the use of drones will significantly improve agricultural practices and increase profitability.
